Aftab Shaikh
Aftab Shaikh is a twenty-three year old poet from India who has been writing for more than a decade in English, Hindi and Urdu. His works have been featured in publications like Gloom Cupboard, Kritya, Muse India, The Barefoot Review, Frogpond and The Literary Yard, and in anthologies around the world including The Dance of the Peacock, Before We Have Nowhere To Stand and Overplay/Underdone. His works range from haiku and short poems to serialized long poems and ghazals in English. “Watery Dreams” is one of the earliest of his micro poetry. He seeks guidance with his poetry from his father, who himself is an Urdu poet.
